Based between Chicago and Los Angeles, Sam Shuhan is a multifaceted performer, studio musician, producer, and composer. He currently holds the positions of Acting Principal Bass in the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Principal Bass in the Santa Barbara Symphony, and was formerly the Associate Principal Bass of the Los Angeles Opera. He has played on film/tv scores such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Avatar: The Way of Water, Star Trek: Discovery and has collaborated as a producer/songwriter with Max Childs, Jackson Breit, Bravo, Liza, and Jordan Parker, to name a few.
Shuhan works extensively with LA based producer, Carneyval and songwriter Max Childs, writing original music for sync licensing. Their music has been used by T-Mobile, Apple, Netflix, Hulu, and featured in the video games NBA 2K22 and 2K25.
As a film composer, he scored the music for Hear, Falcon, a documentary directed, written, and produced by Naum Milyavskiy.
